This document describes the procedure for performing a factory reset by switching the input power of devices (e.g. toggling a wall switch or a circuit breaker).

Performing a factory reset will permanently erase all device configurations (including zone information, group membership and sensor settings). Do not perform this procedure unless this is what you intend.

This procedure should only be used when the devices to be factory reset are unreachable.

Procedure

  1. Locate the power switch to which the devices to be factory-reset are connected.
    1. The power switch may be a wall switch or a circuit breaker (always use a wall switch if available).
    2. All SmartLuco devices controllable by the power switch will be factory-reset.
  2. Turn off the power switch.
  3. Toggle the power switch as follows:
  4. The devices will blink slowly 4 times to indicate that the factory reset has been successful (if not, try again).
(NOTE: There is a known bug in the firmware V1.G in which devices fail to blink 4 times after a successful factory reset by switching power input)

An easy way to perform the factory reset power sequence is as follows:

  1. Turn off the power switch.
  2. Turn it on (count 1) and wait for 1 second.
  3. Turn it off (count 2) and wait for 1 second.
  4. Turn it on (count 3) and wait for 1 second.
  5. Turn it off (count 4) and wait for 1 second.
  6. Turn it on (count 5) and wait for 1 second.
  7. Turn it off (count 6) and wait for 6 seconds.
  8. Turn it on and wait for 5 seconds.
  9. Turn it off and wait for 5 seconds.
  10. Turn it on and wait for 5 seconds.
  11. Turn it off and wait for 5 seconds.
  12. Turn it on.
